Stephen has been hosting the morning shift for six years now since Fbi’s inception. The show features an eclectic mix of interviews and regular weekly segments. Music programming is half station management and half Stephens and includes 50% Australian and 25% Sydney music. There is an heavy emphasis on local content – music and features. This leads to a very creative and successful show that has captured a vast following across Sydney. An estimated 255,000 per week listen in to FBI.
Good press and awards have followed. Stephen skills go beyond the microphone and have included segment editing, podcast creation, voice-overs for ads and of course panel operating.

‘Fire Up!’ Every Friday morning at 9am hosted alongside Brett Oaten. ‘Fire Up’ is a highly decorated program dedicated to a humorous take on Rugby League that has a serious side. It has been dished up every Friday for five years now, collecting the Troy Garner Award for Excellence in Sports Programming in 2007 and collecting a glittering array of guests. Fire Up has been so successful it has been approached by other media outlets for poaching. Press articles on Fire Up have appeared in Rugby League Week, The Telegraph, the Sydney Morning Herald Guide pages and more.

‘Stagefright’ with Terry Serio, a segment dedicated to Sydney theatre. It airs every Wednesday at 10am. It includes a weekly interview with talent from a current production, giveaways and then a wrap up of the total recommended Sydney theatre productions.
Featuring such talent as Andrew Upton, Benedict Andrews, Brendan Cowell, David Carradine, David Gulpillil, Justine Clarke, Stephen Page, Noah Taylor, Lee Lewis & Bojana Novokavic & Bryan Brown.
Terry Serio is an acclaimed actor, singer, songwriter and teacher with many films, TV and musicals performances to his credit including a Helpmann Award for his portrayal of John Howard in “Keating the musical”.
‘Funk Flashback’ with Josh Beagley, airs every Wednesday at 11.30am wherein the spotlight is turned to a past musical time with an album, artist, producer or genre from the vaults of Funk, Soul, Disco & Hip Hop exposed.

2012 sees Stephen continue his monthly guest thursday spot focussing on Funky grooves with James at 2pm, as well as summer shifts on ABC digital.

Program : ‘The Rhythm Method’
Saturday Nights: 10 pm to 2 am.
The shift started from an idea of Tim Ritchie’s called ‘“The 12” Show” then Stephen took over in ‘88 and carried on for 5 years with great ratings till it’s end. It predated all the other Saturday ‘dance’ shows on commercial networks and of course it was broadcast nationally.
Guests such as legendary NY DJ Frankie Knuckles, Norman Jay (Chill Out Festival) and Chaka Khan added more credibility to a show that highlighted all the freshest releases, mixed with club classics ranging over the decades.

Program: Afternoon Shift, 5 days a week
Kiss FM Sydney was one of the successful group of burgeoning ‘dance’ music community radio stations of the 90’s. Stephen was enticed in to host the weekly afternoon show focusing on quality dance grooves of it’s time. The station was one of many fiercely competing for the community license that eventually went to fbi. It’s agenda was club, but not crass, Stephen held down the shift from to .

Really an exercise in musical indulgence, Stephen played exactly what he wanted, Soul related grooves whilst looking over Bondi Beach weekly during the early 90’s. Perfect.
